Abstract

This chapter argues that Old Testament theololgy is caopable of dealing with scriptural contradictions, so long as it does not succumb to modernist abstractions,a dn so long as those contradictions are placed within the wider context of discussions around literary form and competing testimony. The substantive issue facing Old Testament theologians is how to evaluate the undeniable diversity of the biblical canon and its multifarious influences throughuot history.
