Abstract

Understanding mission in the 19th and 20th centuries is not a simple undertaking. It is complex due to the diverse and changing worldviews and contexts on the sending and receiving ends of mission. This book, "The Great Age of Mission," contains in-depth academic studies of this phenomenon by veteran mission historian Lawrence Nemer. This set of articles also illustrates both the values and limitations of the writing and study of mission history.
