    Abstract

Ecumenical theology has long been restricted to Christian confessional differences, but ecumenism first developed out of mission, which has now become reciprocal. The discipline of ecumenics integrates the influence of cultures and the dynamics of dialogue into a public theology for pluralist contexts.
