    The Christian theology of religions, and theology in inter religious dialogue generally, is hamstrung by being concerned primarily with doctrines, which are all too readily seen to be incompatible. Theology in narrative mode, however, reveals unsuspected parallels with developments in other traditions, in this case Buddhism.
