    Abstract

    The ancient rituals of the Kula or Kaula tradition, an extreme tantric tradition, have been recorded in texts dating from medieval Kashmir and Assam. To what extent are these rituals, kept secret even in those ancient days, still practised in India, in particular in Orissa State.
