    Abstract

    In Australia’s otherwise-secular governance of all research involving human participants, the clergy’s pastoral expertise serves HREC quorums under the regulations of Australia’s National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research. Qualitative data of a small sample documented and analyzed their service, noting training implications and reflecting through the writer’s rabbinic lens.
