    Abstract

This volume brings together the five Agreed Statements of ARCIC II, together with Introductions and Responses, in Part A (chapters 1-6), thus fulfilling one mandate of ARCIC III.

Part B (chapters 7-10) includes essays from Commission members who are also on ARCIC III discuss the methodology and themes across all the Statements. Part C (chapters 11-15) gives a full history of the Commission's work.

    Item Type: Books / Monographs
Additional Information: Charles Sherlock wrote chapters 8, 11-15, co-wrote chapter 9, and as the main editor drafted the Preface, Introduction, non-Statement materials in chapters 1-5 and the Appendices. All the material in chapters 1-6 was worked on by ARCIC III. The Pontifical Commission for Promoting Christian Unity (The Vatican) and the Anglican Communion Office, on behalf of their respective traditions, approved the publication of the volume, which was resented to Pope Francis and the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, on October 6 2016.
