    This paper aims to give a theological synthesis to the work of the week-long Asian Mission Congress with over one thousand participants held in Chiangmai, Thailand in 2006. The paper highlights eight concerns, namely 1) life issues, 2) values and identity, 3) compassion not consumerism, 4) cross-cultural encounter, 5) language, 6) mutuality and complementarity, 7) inter-faith relations, 8) uprooted migrant communities
