Abstract

In this book, Tony Campbell surveys the literature of the Old Testament books from Joshua and Ruth to 1 and 2 Chronicles. He argues that these books are to be understood not simply as history but as theology, and serve as attempts by the people of Israel to understand their own identity and experience.
