    Abstract

This article explores the 'Israellehre' of Markus Barth, through three of his publications and lecture series from 1960 through to the late 1970s. It seeks to show how Markus Barth built upon Karl Barth's understanding of 'covenanted solidarity' between Israel and the Church, but also developed it further and with specifically political implications.
