Abstract

The chapter offers a critical appraisal to the so-called Finnish interpretation of Luther, in which a group of Finnish scholars have posited and explored a parallel between Luther's s understanding of salvation in terms of justification by faith alone and the patristic and Eastern Orthodox notion of theosis.
