Gospel parables combine elementary dimensions of human experience—familiar scenarios within farming, commerce, human necessities and crises—with the reception of another word, explicitly and indirectly, of the presence of God within human life. Between human existence and the reality of God there is the necessity of hearing with ears to hear. By observing their variegated styles and casting, along with diverse responses given to them, we can discover by increments, the fascinating impetus and meaning of parables.
